WrinFix-H8, a hexapeptide that simulates the protein structural domain of SNAP-25, inhibits muscle nerve signal transmission and thus instantly reduce dynamic wrinkles.

Product Information:

Signal transmission between nerves and skeletal muscle cells is completed through synapses: synaptic vesicles carrying neurotransmitters fuse with presynaptic membranes under the regulation of SNARE complex proteins. The released neurotransmitters bind to receptors from postsynaptic membrane, and thus trigger the action of muscles. WrinFix-H8 is a hexapeptide fragment that mimics the SNAP-25 protein structural domain, which can compete with SNAP-25 and prevent the formation of SNARE complex with syntaxin and VAMP, thereby blocking membrane fusion and the release of neurotransmitters. As an instant wrinkle-removing ingredient, WrinFix-H8 can attenuate dynamic wrinkles caused by local muscle contraction and help to reduce the number and depth of expression lines.

Chinese healthy female volunteers with an average age of 46.0 years (± 7.2 years) were treated with WrinFix-H8 (200 ppm) cream for 4 weeks. It showed that WrinFix-H8 can significantly reduce facial wrinkles, enhance skin elasticity and skin firmness.

Safety:

WrinFix-H8 has been widely used in various skincare products, and no adverse reactions have been reported. The human patch test of WrinFix-H8 (200 ppm) showed no adverse reaction in all subjects under the test conditions.

Formulation Guidelines:

– Recommended level of use: 50–500 ppm

– WrinFix-H8 is highly water soluble. Strong acids, bases, oxidants, acid chlorides and anhydrides should be avoided in formulation. 

– WrinFix-H8 has high biological activity, should be processed below 45°C and added at the final stage of formulation.
