WrinFix-P5P4  is a derivative of type I collagen fragment, which can promote the production of collagen, boost extracellular matrix and improve the firmness and elasticity of skin. 

Product Information:

The fragment of type I procollagen can stimulate collagen production. Pentapeptide fragment KTTKS (Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser) derived from type I collagen sequence 212–216 is the minimal functional sequence for prominent collagen production. WrinFix-P5P4 (palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, Pal-KTTKS) can promote the synthesis of type I, III and IV collagen and elastin, inhibit the degradation of collagen by matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), and can improve the firmness and elasticity of skin against age-related symptoms.  

Efficacy:

Experimental conditions: Human fibroblasts; Blank control: Complete culture medium;  Positive control: 100 μg/mL TGF-β; Test group: Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4. 

Conclusion: Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 can promote the synthesis of collagen and elastin. 

Experimental conditions: Double-blind experiment, 35 to 55-year-old female individuals used a face cream containing 3 ppm palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 for 12 consecutive weeks.

Conclusion: Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 can significantly reduce facial wrinkles, and improve the firmness and elasticity of skin

Formulation Guidelines:

– Recommended level of use: 10−100 ppm

– Compatibility: WrinFix-P5P4 is slightly soluble in water (100 ppm) and remains stable in pH 5–6. Its water solubility can be improved by solubilizers such as Tween-20.

– WrinFix-P5P4 has high biological activity, and should be processed below 45 °C and added at the final stage of formulation.
