Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), also known as Coenzyme I, is one of the most essential coenzymes in the human body. It is widely distributed in skin cells, but its levels decline with cellular aging. Mitochondria, the cell's energy powerhouse, rely on the TCA cycle and the electron transport chain to produce ATP, processes that are critically dependent on NAD+. Aging slows energy metabolism, halts the cell cycle, and impairs function. Supplementing NAD+ boosts ATP production, revitalizes cells, enhances mitochondrial activity, and aids repair, making it a powerful anti-aging ingredient.

The result of HET-CAM test shows that the irritation score (IS) of 0.5% NAD+ was 0.24 and it was non-irritating.


Formulation Guidelines:

– Recommended level of use: 10−1000 ppm;

– NAD+ has good water solubility (40 mg/mL);

– NAD+ has high biological activity. The operating temperature of the preparation process should be ≤ 45 °C. It should be added in the final stage of the formulation system.
